What is Pregolom?

As a newbie blogger, I can't help my curiosity to check stats & wanna know how everyone comes to my blog. Then I noticed that I've been tracked by someone with this address:

It's interesting because it's not Google, Facebook, or Twitter where the traffic sources usually come from. So I browsed pregolom.com & found that it leaded nowhere. Found something odd, I made a little research by Google.

I found that it's a referrer spam. Someone said that it leaded him on Russian porn site. *compare to me who was leaded on nothing*
Owners of newer blogs, with less established traffic, will see their pageview counts fluctuate more. So, the best way to make referrer spam stop spamming our stats is by stop clicking on the links on our stats logs. Just concentrate on posting good things on our blog & the referrer spam won't be an issue.

One more thing we can do to avoid these referrer spams is by reporting them to privacyprotect.org. Privacy Protect is the website where the owners of the sites can register their domains to avoid spammers, telemarketers, identity theft, or fraud. They ensure that our private information is not published by replacing all our publicly visible contact details with alternate contact information. Reporting the spammers on Report Abuse will make the domain name owner information public or they'll provide us with the necessary details. They shall also forward the complaint to the sponsoring registrar so the sponsoring registrar may take appropriate action on the domain name itself. I don't know this Pregolom & other spammers have registered their domains on this site or not & how much good it will do, but I hope it works.
